About Melba's
Since 1958 Melba's has been dedicated to teaching the technique and discipline required in dance, which allows the students to feel pride in their personal accomplishments. This developmental training will last a lifetime. Melba's School of Dancing is the largest dancing school in the Rio Grande Valley and offers preschool combination ballet-tap-gymnastics classes, preschool funk, ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, musical theatre, and three company-level sections. Melba Huber is the founder of the McAllen Dance Theatre Company that performs every February at the McAllen Civic Center. The February Showcase features a full act of ballet followed by a second act of show-stopping tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, musical theatre, and variety dance numbers. Auditions are held each year for three levels of company.
