Melba Huber, Julie Doyle and Victoria Chappell attended the Tradition In Tap Workshop in May of 2006. Melba conducted a historical panel where the work of Ernest “Brownie” Brown was recognized and his late partner Charles “Coolie” Cook. Doyle and Chappell were scholarship students at the event. The trip concluded with the Flo-Bert Awards show where the best tap dancers in the world performed. Closing this show was Savion Glover and Jimmy Slyde.
